Huge thank you to our partner BSE Global for their continuous support of PowerPlay NYC and the work that we do to empower girls through sports. Some of our young people were invited to participate in an empowering body positivity workshop, which was led by plus-sized influencer CeCe Olisa. Our girls had amazing time discussing positive affirmations, and discovering the power of speaking kindly to themselves. They created a tik-tok dance to Lizzo’s chart-topping song ‘Special’, which was showcased at a Brooklyn Nets game in celebration of Women’s Impact night. PowerPlay’s President & CEO, as well as our Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships & External Affairs were joined by two students on-court prior to tip off to acknowledge and celebrate our work in the community.
