On Thursday, June 15th, we partnered with our friends National Football League (NFL) League for an exciting day of flag football. Special thanks to PowerPlay Board members Anna Isaacson and William Dorrance for leading this initiative. Thank you all for supporting PowerPlay’s mission of empowering girls through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger.
It was an honor to work with the NFL’s first black female coach – Collette V. Smith We’re excited to welcome you back into the PowerPlay family. Thank you for your leadership and for facilitating an engaging event for all involved. Collette led our young people and the employee volunteers through a tough flag football clinic which culminated in some competitive matches to close off the activation.
A special thank you to NYC Council member Carlina Rivera and her team for connecting us to the amazing folks at PS34, AND for showing up and engaging with our students and guests throughout the activation. We value your continuous support of the organization over the years and look forward to deepening our impact within District 2.
