PowerPlay STARS Series girls participated in the Pass HER The Torch Basketball and Soccer Clinic sponsored by the NY Liberty, Gotham FC and CarMax!!!
It was a wonderful day of community building at PowerPlay host site, MS 88. PowerPlay girls learned the fundamentals of basketball and soccer, developed their social-emotional learning skills and bonded with strong female role models (clinicians and professional players)…all while supportive parents cheered them on from the sidelines.
NY Liberty players, Courtney Vandersloot & Betnijah Laney, & Gotham FC players, Abby Smith & Nealy Martin, were special guests who spent time playing basketball and soccer with the girls, taking pictures and answering questions during a special Q&A session.
The girls and parents were also treated to a swag bag, pizza and beverages after the clinic.
