For the past decade, PowerPlay has proudly served as the lead organization for a NYC Council funded initiative of 10 nonprofits with incredible service to girls in NYC. This coalition has accomplished ground-breaking feats over the course of the past decade. They are 10 organizations, led by 10 amazing women leaders who collectively have served over 500,000 girls and gender expansive youth throughout NYC. Furthermore, they have collectively raised over $12 million, a radical feat considering that less than 2% of all philanthropic dollars fund women and girl causes.
To kick off this milestone year, we gathered for a celebratory breakfast and reflected on the past decade of achievements. The breakfast featured a dynamic panel discussion with visionaries, champions and supporters of STARS CGI. Among them were:
