On Saturday, August 27th – STARS CGI youth participated in a Nike x The Shed Summer Sway Series Dance workshop led by Ladies of Hip Hop. 60 of your youth from across the STARS CGI spectrum (trending Middle school and high school) were immersed in wellness, dance and creativity practices throughout the day.
With vibes by DJ Milkyshake, the workshop kicked off with a meditation session led by a HealHaus trainer, followed by a Q&A with members of Ladies of Hip Hop discussing the importance of creative expression and how they fell in love with dance. To close out the programming, the girls were taught a dance sequence in a dance workshop led by Ladies of Hip Hop. Attendees received a Nike bookbag which included Nike apparel, socks and Air Force 1s, they also received a branded water bottle, towel and yoga mat. Following the workshop, the girls tapped into their creative side by customizing their Air Force 1s with lace gems, charms and chains. They commemorated the moment at the branded video booth and Polaroid station.
The overall sentiment of the day was filled with excitement from STARS CGI attendees and LOHH!
