STARS CGI is deeply committed to community programs, and we strongly believe that the nonprofit sector plays a pivotal role in addressing the needs of our communities. The proposed financial cuts to the nonprofit sector would not only be detrimental to the continued operation of our programs, but would also exacerbate the challenges faced by our young people, jeopardizing their future. We believe that a meaningful investment in the nonprofit sector is crucial for the well-being and development of our youngest New Yorkers.
On March 23rd, our STARS CGI Fellows hosted the 4th Annual 100% Youth-led Town Hall. This year’s theme focused on the stabilization of the nonprofit sector, particularly addressing the potential adverse impacts of funding cuts on the lives of girls and gender nonconforming youth in NYC. The Town Hall provided a platform for meaningful discussions and actionable insights to address these pressing issues.
