Financial Literacy at CPC Chrystie Street

Our STARS series girls at CPC Chrystie Street are budding entrepreneurs! These third and fourth graders had the opportunity this week to create their own mock businesses and take over the gym to sell their products to each other. Among the businesses were “Spy Buddy Equipment”, “Banana Boat Hotel”, and “Paper Funds” which sold different pieces of origami. They used fake money which they earned from the “bank” by doing jumping jacks and sit-ups. Here at PowerPlay we like to introduce important life skills by using fun activites. With this activity, our CPC girls were able to learn the value of a dollar, get some exercise, and have fun.
