One of our PowerPlay sites – MS 88, celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) with the wonderful women of BSE Global. BSE Global is the parent company for the Brooklyn Nets and NY Liberty and these women took time out of their day to share this momentous occasion with our young people, showing us exactly why it’s important to celebrate the contributions of girls and women in sports, while honoring the women that paved the path for our current generation.
The girls arrived at the BSE Global headquarters, where they toured the office space and created vision boards with their female mentors and role models for the day. NY Liberty legend, Kym Hampton was in attendance and engaged in dialogue with our student-athletes about their passions. The girls later took in a Brooklyn Nets vs. GS Warriors game at Barclay Center. We thank our supporters at BSE Global for showing our girls what a career in sports can look like off the court and are grateful to Kim Hampton for encouraging us to always dream big!
